Fastening of a brake disk

Since August, 1983 (a code of date of manufacturing of "DT") the screw of fastening of a brake disk to a wheel nave is cleaned.

The brake disk is connected to a wheel nave by means of a spring clip on a bolt of the wheel, identical being used on drums of back brakes.

Prevention

In this regard change in the cars made since August, 1983, in the course of removal of a brake disk it is necessary to mark with a chertilka a relative positioning of a brake disk and a wheel nave that at installation it was possible to keep an initial arrangement of a brake disk concerning a nave. Otherwise the brake disk can have excessive palpation.

Brake support

Since May, 1983 (a code of date of manufacturing of "DL") the cars made in Genk, and since June, 1983 (a code of date of manufacturing of "DY") also the cars made in Dagen-ham and Cork, are equipped with arms of supports (see fig. Identification of an arm of a support of a disk brake) and supports of new type, and also brake shoes with the laying excluding fluctuations. The entered changes do not change an order of dismantling and assembly of brakes and a method of replacement of the brake shoes, described in subsection 10.2.

Brake liquid

New brake Ford SAM liquid of 6 C 9103 A was systematically entered. New brake liquid can be applied to completion of amount of earlier used liquid. In the course of replacement it is necessary to use new brake liquid.
