Repair and car operation

This subsection concerns the changes executed in a design of Ford Sierra cars with four-cylinder diesel engines. Technical characteristics and descriptions of adjustments and repairs which did not undergo changes, are in the previous sections.

MODELS 1988

In April, 1984 the GT version, being characterized the improved equipment went on sale: the opened hatch, the blacked-out glasses, a bumper and the lower part of a body of gray color, and in cars with a five-door body and комби (with a luggage carrier on a body roof) in addition divided back sitting.

MODELS 1989

In all versions of a body additional lateral bulbs of indexes of turns are added.

MODELS 1990

In October, 1989 the diesel engine in working volume of 2,3 ^dm3 and capacity of 49 kW (67 h.p.) was replaced with the turbodiesel engine 1,8 ^{of dm3} in capacity of 55 kW (75 h.p.). For all versions of a body the lattice on an air way to a radiator and white caps for indexes of turns, and in a back part of a body of a berlin and a sedan – the black strip connecting blacked-out back lamps is entered.

MODELS 1992

In all versions the form of the forward panel is a little modernized.

MODELS 1993

Serial equipment of separate versions is improved:

 – CLX – the blacked-out glasses, warmed back glass, electric management of glasses of lateral forward doors, double headlights, the hydraulic booster of a steering and a tachometer;
 – GL – equipment of the version CLX plus electric management of a rear-view mirror, the opening hatch, the central blocking of doors (the central lock), head restraints of back seats and an average armrest of back seats.

At the end of January, 1993 production of Ford Sierra cars is finished.
