4.1.4.2.3. Adjustment of a starting zaslonka

GENERAL INFORMATION

Adjustment of opening of a starting zaslonka of the Weber carburetor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To unscrew three screws of fastening of the case of the starting arrangement and a bimetallic spring.

2. To clean the thermal screen.

3. To check and in case of need to adjust a gap of a starting zaslonka.

4. To hold a starting butterfly valve in a closed position by means of a core or a rubber cord.

5. To press against the stop an accelerator pedal for complete opening of a butterfly valve of a mix and closing of a starting zaslonka, and then to release a pedal.

6. To move a hand a diaphragm of a vacuum regulator against the stop and to measure (for example, a drill in diameter of 1,5 mm) width of a gap between a starting zaslonka and a wall of the air chamber.

Prevention

The diaphragm of a regulator and its draft make a start a returnable spring. Therefore they are necessary for moving surely against the stop for receiving the maximum width of a gap.

7. In case of the wrong size of a gap it is necessary to turn the adjusting screw in the regulator case before receiving a necessary gap.
