GENERAL INFORMATION

Adjustment of turns of idling of the Ford carburetor

1–the persistent screw of a butterfly valve for adjustment of number of turns of the engine,

2–screw of adjustment of structure of a mix

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To warm up the engine to normal working temperature.
2. To connect the analyzer of exhaust gases and a tachometer.
3. To hold in a current about 30 seconds number of turns of 3000 rpm, and then to release an accelerator pedal (or a butterfly valve in the carburetor).
4. To wait before installation of indications of the analyzer and to read concentration indications WITH in exhaust gases idling the engine.
5. In case of need to adjust number of turns of the engine by means of the persistent screw of the butterfly valve serving for adjustment of number of turns of idling.
6. If concentration WITH small, by means of a thin screw-driver to remove a casing of the screw of adjustment of structure of a mix and to adjust respectively position of this screw.
5. To establish number of turns of the engine of 3000 rpm and in about 30 seconds to pass (as well as in the previous case) on idling and to check number of turns of the engine and the contents WITH.
8. To establish a casing of the screw of adjustment of structure of a mix.
