3.1.4.10.1. Technical characteristics

GENERAL INFORMATION

Since November, 1988 all versions can be equipped with anti-blocking system.

The working brake with anti-blocking system is put in action hydraulically by the double-circuit main brake cylinder (type a tandem) and in addition hydraulic auxiliary device.

Hydraulic a contour of lobbies of the right and left brakes are divided and cope the main brake cylinder. Back brakes (in system "Y") cope the hydraulic auxiliary device.

The hand brake is put in action mechanically (cable), характеризируется with automatic elimination of a gap and affects mechanisms of back brakes.

Forward brakes

Forward brakes disk. In them ventilated disks, and also floating a support with one piston are used.

Support

Brand and type: Ford 2L 232. Diameter of the piston: 60 mm.

Disk

External diameter: 240 mm.

Thickness:

 – the nominal: 24мм;
 – the nominal admissible: 22 mm.

Maximum disk palpation: 0,15 mm.

Brake shoes

Brand and type of blocks: Ferodo 343 25 FF. Nominal thickness: 18 mm.

Nominal admissible thickness: is defined by flute deleting on surfaces of a brake shoe.

Back brakes

Back brakes disk. In them full disks, and also floating a support with one piston are established.

Support

Brand and type: Ford L2 9024. Diameter of the piston: 43 mm.

Disk

External diameter: 252,7 mm.

Thickness:

 – the nominal: 10,1 mm;
 – the nominal admissible: 8,9 mm.

Maximum disk palpation: 0,15 mm.

Brake shoes

Brand and type of blocks: DON 8106/1. Nominal thickness: 13,5 mm.

Nominal admissible thickness: is defined by flute deleting on surfaces of a brake shoe.

Drive system

The system putting in action a working brake, is hydraulic, contains the double-circuit main brake cylinder and the hydraulic auxiliary device, and also anti-blocking system.

Brand: ABS Teves. Electronic actuation device: Teves.

Resistance of the sensor of speed of rotation of a wheel: 0,8–1,4 Ohm.

Control pressure: 4–9 MPas.

Brake liquid

Quantity: 1,4 dm3.

Type: brake Ford SAM liquid of 6C 9103 A.

Periodicity of replacement: each 60 000 km or time in two years.
