GENERAL INFORMATION

Measurement of moving of the piston by means of measurement by the indicator of hour type of lifting of the final valve leaning on a bottom of the piston

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect and remove the accumulator.
2. To remove the air filter.
3. To disconnect from the fuel pump management elements, and also returnable топливопроводы from the pump and from nozzles.
4. To remove pipelines of supply of fuel to nozzles and to muffle their openings, to disconnect the pipeline of supply of fuel to the fuel pump.
5. To uncover heads of the block of cylinders.
6. By means of a stripper for springs of valves together with auxiliary elements (No. 21.024, 21.024/04 and 21.024/03) to compress springs of the final valve of the 4th cylinder, to take a core of a pusher and to turn the valve lever on 90 °.
7. To remove a sheet casing from below the engine.
8. To establish the piston of the 4th cylinder in VMT (both valves in the 1st cylinder are partially open), to remove from the final valve of the 4th cylinder crackers, a basic plate and springs of the valve and to lower the final valve on a piston bottom.
9. To establish the indicator of hour type on the second to a bolt of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and опереть its measuring tip on a head of a core of the final valve of the 4th cylinder.
10. To check installation of the piston of the 4th cylinder in VMT and to null the indicator.
11. Carefully to turn a cranked shaft aside, its working rotation opposite to the direction so that the final valve leaning on a bottom of the piston of the 4th cylinder, moved down on 7 mm.
12. To turn a cranked shaft in the direction of its working rotation (elimination of gaps) on 4,15 mm so that the indicator of hour type showed value 2,85±0,05 to mm (before piston VMT).
13. To unscrew two bolts with an internal hexagonal nest of fastening of the fuel pump to a forward cover of the engine and to take the fuel pump.

Installation of the fuel pump and installation of the beginning of injection

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Sideways the fuel pump to unscrew a bolt of fastening and to unscrew a stopper closing a control opening for installation of the moment of injection.
2. To turn a pump shaft so that the adjusting sign (flute) of a rotor of the pump was directed up (was in the middle of a control opening.
3. To establish the fuel pump and to fix it two bolts with an internal hexagonal nest.
4. To check installation of a rotor of the pump. To fix the holder together with the indicator sideways the pump and опереть a measuring tip of the indicator on an adjusting sign of a rotor of the fuel pump.
5. To turn a cranked shaft aside, its working rotation opposite to the direction so that the piston of the 4th cylinder appeared at distance of 7 mm before VMT. To turn a cranked shaft clockwise while the indicator on the fuel pump will not show the maximum value with accuracy of 0,1-0,2 mm.
6. This value should make 2,85±0,05 mm before VMT of the piston of the 4th cylinder. If it not so, is necessary to weaken bolts of fastening of the pump and carefully it to turn.
7. To repeat described above action, beginning from installation of the piston of the 4th cylinder at distance of 7 mm before VMT, before obtaining necessary value on the indicator of hour type.
8. To tighten pipelines of a high pressure, since the back pipeline.
9. To establish the piston of the 4th cylinder in VMT and to remove the adaptations used for installation of a corner of an advancing of injection.
10. To establish springs of the final valve of the 4th cylinder, a basic plate and crackers.
11. To turn a cranked shaft aside its working rotation opposite to the direction till opening of the final valve of the 1st cylinder.
12. To insert a core of a pusher of the final valve of the 4th cylinder, to establish the lever of this valve and to fix closing stopper on the fuel pump.
13. To check gaps of valves and to screw a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
14. To attach elements of management of the fuel pump and pipelines. To establish the air filter. To establish a sheet casing of the engine.
15. To establish and connect the accumulator. To remove air from fuel system.

Removal

It is carried out in the same way, as well as it is described above.

Installation of the moment of injection of fuel

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On each pump there is a stopper from an artificial material on which the adjusting size in millimeters is beaten out. This size different for each pump; it is measured by the indicator of hour type with the Ford 23-0 extension piece.
2. To remove the closing stopper (1) located on a cover of the pump. (2–a tip, 3 – пассатижи).
3. To fix on the pump the indicator of hour type together with the Ford 23-0 extension piece (fig. 1 B.19).
4. To establish the indicator so that his shooter started to move (a measuring tip slightly concerns a pump rotor).
5. To establish an arrow of the indicator of the pump on a zero.
6. To establish the piston of the 4th cylinder at distance 2,85±0,4 to mm before VMT.
7. The indicator of hour type of the pump should show at once the value which has been beaten out on a stopper of the pump.
8. If this condition is not carried out, it is necessary to weaken bolts of fastening of the fuel pump and very carefully to turn it in one or other party before obtaining the necessary indication of the indicator on the pump.
