4.1.3.7. Removal and installation of the distributor of ignition

GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect the accumulator from car electric equipment.
2. To disconnect wires of a high voltage from spark plugs and the distributor and to remove the distributor of a high voltage.
3. To establish the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT. For this purpose it is necessary to rotate a hand a cranked shaft of the engine before situation in which the rotor of the distributor will be established opposite to contact of the 1st cylinder in the distributor of a high voltage of the distributor of ignition.
4. To designate this provision of a rotor of the distributor concerning the case of the distributor of ignition for simplification of further installation of the distributor of ignition.
5. To unscrew a bolt of fastening of the case of the distributor of ignition and to remove the ignition distributor.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To check, whether there is a piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT (combination of the corresponding sign on a pulley with a constant sign (see fig. Control signs for installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition of ignition).
2. To insert the ignition distributor into an opening in the block of cylinders of the engine, to insert a bolt of fastening of the distributor of ignition, but not to tighten it.
3. To check sign combination on the distributor case with the provision of a rotor of the distributor, corresponding to situation opposite to contact of the 1st cylinder of the distributor of a high voltage.
4. To connect wires of a high voltage to spark plugs and the distributor of a high voltage.
5. To connect the accumulator to car electric equipment.
6. To establish a corner of an advancing of ignition by means of a stroboscopic lamp (see subsection 4.1.3.5).
