GENERAL INFORMATION

Functioning check

The electronic actuation device realizes also autodiagnostics function, warning the driver fire of a control bulb about emergence of malfunction of electric chains or elements of anti-blocking system. Besides, other control bulb informs the driver on pressure drop in hydraulic system.

Depending on type of the malfunction found by the electronic actuation device braking of the car can be normal (without ABS influence) or with limited action of ABS – adjustable braking of only back wheels.

For check of contours and elements of anti-blocking system it is necessary to connect a multimeter to the multicontact socket of the electronic actuation device of anti-blocking system and to execute the corresponding measurements.

Check of a hydraulic contour


Prevention

The hydraulic contour of anti-blocking system (ABS) Teves is under a high pressure. Therefore before the beginning of all operations on check it is necessary to lower surely in it pressure. For this purpose it is necessary to switch off ignition and strongly to press about 20 times a brake pedal while it does not become "firm".


Pressure check in the pressure accumulator

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lower pressure in the pressure accumulator.
2. To remove the pressure accumulator.
3. To connect a control manometer 12.009 together with a tee on a place of the accumulator of pressure.
4. To connect the hydraulic accumulator to a tee tip.
5. To include ignition.
6. To check, whether pressure to size of 4-9 MPas quickly increases. If pressure size other, it is necessary to replace the pressure accumulator.
7. To unhook cables from loops.
8. To lift the car.
9. Coupling guard.
10. The bottom bolts of fastening of a case of coupling to the block of cylinders.

Prevention

For prevention of damage of contacts of the multicontact socket of the electronic actuation device of anti-blocking system connection of the transitional payment which contacts should be used for check of electric parameters is recommended in order that in the course of measurements not to use contacts of the socket of the electronic actuation device.


Check of time of a battery charging of pressure

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lower pressure in the pressure accumulator.
2. To connect a manometer to the pressure accumulator (see above).
3. To include ignition.
4. To check time of a stabilizirovaniye of pressure to size of 4-9 MPas. This time should be less than 60 seconds. If this condition is not carried out, it is necessary to check pump functioning, a filter condition in a tank of brake liquid, a condition of flexible pipelines of a high pressure and tightness of connections of a tee.

Check of tightness of hydraulic knot

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lower pressure in the pressure accumulator.
2. To connect a manometer to the pressure accumulator (see above).
3. To include ignition and to wait, while pressure is not stabilized.
4. To switch off ignition.
5. To wait for 5 minutes and to define pressure drop during this time. It should not exceed 1 MPa.

Check of tightness of a hydraulic contour

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lower pressure in system.
2. To connect a manometer to the pressure accumulator (see above).
3. To connect additional manometers to deaerator of both brake supports of forward wheels.
4. To include ignition.
5. To establish pressure of 10 MPas in a contour, pressing a brake pedal by means of the special adaptation.
6. To define on manometers pressure drop in 5 minutes. It should not exceed:
      – on supports: 0,5 MPas;
      – on the pressure accumulator: 1,0 MPas.
7. If it is more than pressure drop, it is necessary to check, whether there were smudges on connections of hydraulic pipelines, and in case of need to replace hydraulic knot of management.

Check of functioning of the sensor of pressure of an electric motor of the hydraulic pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To switch off ignition.
2. To lower pressure in hydraulic system.
3. To connect a manometer to the pressure accumulator.
4. To include ignition.
5. To wait before switching off of the engine of the hydraulic pump.
6. To check pressure after a stop of the pump maximum). This pressure should make 17,4–18,8 MPas.
7. To press a brake pedal.
8. To define pressure at which there is an inclusion of an electric motor of the hydraulic pump. This pressure should make 13–15 MPas. In case of default of this condition it is necessary to replace the sensor of pressure of an electric motor of the hydraulic pump.
