12.5. Adjustment of a tension of a maple belt
GENERAL INFORMATION
Prevention

At cars with the hydraulic booster of system of a steering there are two maple belts which stretch at the same time.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken bolts of fastening of the generator.
2. To reject the generator from the engine for a tension of a maple belt.
3. To measure a belt tightness by means of the special adaptation or to measure a deflection of the greatest piece of a belt between pulleys (see subsection 12.1).
4. To tighten at first tightening a bolt of adjustment of a tightness, then a forward bolt of the bottom fastening and, at last, a back bolt of the bottom fastening of the generator.
5. To check repeatedly a tightness of a maple belt and in case of need to repeat the described actions.
